"A Modern Night" - Live Auction

Recently De La Rose had the pleasure of providing unique arrangements for the Orange County Museum of Art's Live Auction, held at the Westin South Coast Plaza. With the theme "A Modern Night," we were asked to create 36 modern succulent branches as the centerpiece for each participant's table. The result was marvelous.

:: Engagement Party Arrangement ::

A dear friend of mine called on me to make an arrangement for an engagement party to celebrate our friends Rodney & Lisa. Her request was for a gorgeous white arrangement of roses, peonies, and mini cymbidiums in a vase of blues, greens, and browns. The result was a beautiful arrangement for a beautiful couple. Congratulations you two!

A Soul In Bloom

"If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom." ~Audra Foveo

Anniversary Arrangement

Someone special just celebrated another anniversary! This Saturday my parent's enjoyed their 28th anniversary of wedded bliss. As a token of my appreciation for their continued love I designed this beautiful julep cup full of roses, calas, and kermits.

Laguna Dinner Party

Mrs. Miller, a favorite Emerald Bay client of ours, ordered an arrangement for her weekend dinner party. Her only requirement was roses. Lots and lots of roses! We decided to build a scheme around the "Pic" of the Week, Coffee Break. We mixed the roses with a more lively variety called Circus and laced them with lime-colored cockscomb, kermits, cymbidium orchids, and some vibrant orange sprays. This citrus color mix is one of my favorite combinations for the summertime.

Good luck with your dinner party Mrs. Miller. We hope you and your guests enjoy this cheerful arrangement!

London Calling . . .

Apparently De La Rose has reached overseas status! This week we received an unexpected phone call from over 5,000 miles away. A woman calling from London was hoping to find a local flower shop to deliver an arrangement to a fellow London friend living in Laguna Beach. She requested that we use a myriad of purple and pink peonies.

The flowers looked stunning. The following day our little London friend called again to thank us for such kind assistance and to make sure the arrangement was "simply lovely." It was lovely indeed and so was she!

Designer "Pic" Of The Week

This incredible bicolored rose is called Coffee Break. Don't you just love the name? It's almost as if the orange petals were dipped in a cup of coffee and slightly stained. As the flower blooms, it's large head opens into a mystifying bloom. It's quite the attention getter.

Stop by our shop and pick up a dozen or two for you or a friend and you'll receive 10% off this gorgeous "pic" of the week.
